About the Institute.
The Institute for China is an independent policy and economic analysis hub.
Our Mission
Western analysis of China often falls into two traps: unquestioning repetition of official state data ("China's GDP grew at exactly 5.0%"), or ideologically driven doom-casting ("China will collapse in 30 days").
The Institute for China was founded to bridge this gap. We provide clear-eyed, data-driven assessments of structural shifts in the world's second-largest economy, designed for institutional allocators, policymakers, and strategic planners.
Who We Are
Our team consists of former macroeconomic analysts, supply chain auditors, and regional specialists who have spent decades tracking the physical realities of the Chinese economy. We do not engage in political advocacy; we analyze capacity, capital flows, and demographic momentum.
Funding and Independence
The Institute is entirely funded through subscription revenue from institutional clients and private syndicates. We accept no funding from any government—Western or otherwise. This financial independence is the bedrock of our analytical integrity.
